24th February (After)

Perfect. It's done. The concert has been quite successful. There has been some errors, typical things, I know they'd occur but you know, those things can't be avoided.

I'm quite happy really. For this time, we've been fortunate because we've counted on a great professional sound technician who has obtained the best sound of us, better impossible. I'm referring over all, to the drum kit sound, incredible!, I've felt like the happiest person in the world, and I'm the first one who has to give thanks to him.

As for my partners, all them have done a good concert, I'm also happy with them.

Good job.

24th February (before)

Tomorrow is the day. I, we, will attempt to make music.in public. I hope we do a good perform, yes. All we know the whole public won't keen on our music, but the most important is enjoying the moment.

I'll write later.

Advices against Twitter fake followers

I've just read a post about advices to avoid Facebook fakes and I've decided to write one about Twitter fake followers based on my own experience.

What am I speaking about?

Twitter fake followers are fake Twitter accounts created to send to users spam links with lots of advertising and probably with malware.

How?

Fake accounts follow you and mention you in tweets, therefore they appear in your mentions timeline.

Avoid them

The thing is that since some months ago Twitter has implemented a link shortener, so you can't know what is hidden behind a link, but there are some points (very obvious) with which you can recognise a fake account.

-Firstly, the profile picture is usually a stunning woman, although it may not.

-Secondly, the number of people that these accounts follow is too large.
-Thirdly and maybe the most important, these twitters publish only a very few tweets.

Be careful.

Update (Apr 1, 2012)

There is a website which let you know the real direction of a shorted link, so you'll be able to see where goes the shorted link twitter fake followers send to you.

Objetive: 24th

This isn't the start of our preparation for 24th, in fact, I think we've been doing it since Christmas. We have been rehearsing but in the wink of an eye we've to play just in one week and all done rehearses aren't enough. Incredible.

There are lots of small details to prepare and not too much time (due to the fact that we can't rehearse all days).

We are back again.

Music for Sunday night #36

This Sunday I'll post about a band which I've just discovered. As the last week post, I heard this song in the radio, in fact I listened to it several months ago in radio station that I used to listen then. I really liked this song but when I wanted to know the title there was an error in the website and the name was wrong. I stayed tuned to the radio for weeks to find out about it if  it was aired again but I couldn't do. Now, in other radio station I've gotten catch it.

And here it is: Under and over it, by Five Finger Death Punch. Amazing! Enjoy. \m/

Cartridges bargain

According to my tests, Epson won't get more of my money. The other day I made up my mind to buy compatible cartridges for my printer. I was frightened because of what I read in forums, people said cheaper, compatible or refilled cartridges weren't a good deal because ink in these cartridges is of poor quality and not as dense as the original one, so it might be troubles in the ink injectors, over all in my printer model in which the injectors aren't in the cartridges unlike HP printers, otherwise they are into the machine and they're irreplaceable.

The guy of the computer shop said to me in several occasions he hadn't had any problem with these compatible cartridges, so he persuaded me to buy them.

I bore all the details in mind, the appearance is good, the cartridge box design isn't poor, the finish is good, the cardboard is coated and of good quality and the ink used to print the box is of good quality too. There is a paper with the instructions clearly explained and in several languages well translated and it isn't written in Chinese. The cartridge pattern is a bit more simple. Finally, the website is under construction but the main page is well designed and in English, not in Chinese. (http://www.ink.io/).

Yesterday I tested two of them and the result was good and the machine didn't print any wrong line or strange mark. I hope to have no problems because if all continues right, I'll get a great bargain, mainly because I usually print with the black cartridge (one of the four cartridges), and I can get one of these black cartridges for 3.95 €.

So, for now, good deal.

PC Reparation

An hour ago, I've finished fixing a PC with which I've learned some useful things. The first problem to solve was that the Pc had a motherboard supplied by 2 power cables, well, one of these was unplugged.

SATA hard disks, the second problem. I wanted to start to install Windows XP on the PC, but this Windows edition and SATA disks don't get on with each other. I spent centuries looking for SATA drivers, but the motherboard brand was stranger than an American person on bike and I couldn't find what I searched. Finally I found an option y BIOS menu to emulate a IDE disk, I didn't find any disadvantages so I chose it.

The last problem was devices drivers. It was a bit difficult but fortunately, all the hardware were known brands and I could find all I needed.
